Cream

Cream is Pierre Guillot/CICM’s collection of graphical and signal-processing externals intended to extend Pd Vanilla and improve user interaction. It uses CICM Wrapper and supports graphical-interface as well as DSP objects; the repository was archived in 2020.

Objects

  • Cream Cream presents a library of GUI objects made with the CICM.
  • c.bang c.bang currently does nothing more than the vanilla Pd bang object.
  • c.blackboard c.blackboard is a drawable canvas for making mouse-drawn lines and rendering shapes, paths, arcs, GIF images, and text from messages.
  • c.breakpoints c.breakpoints creates and edits a breakpoint function, and can output its interpolated ordinate for use with a line or line~ object.
  • c.colorpanel c.colorpanel displays a matrix of colors and lets you select one by clicking or by specifying a column and row.
  • c.convolve~ c.convolve~ convolves an input signal with an impulse response stored in a named table, using the HiFi-LoFi convolution implementation.
  • c.dsp~ c.dsp~ controls Pd’s DSP state.
  • c.freeverb~ c.freeverb~ applies the Freeverb algorithm to an audio signal, providing a reverberation effect.
  • c.gain~ c.gain~ is a slider for controlling the volume of an audio signal, with amplitude and dB values displayed in the help patch.
  • c.incdec c.incdec increments or decrements a stored value without creating a feedback stack, and outputs the resulting value.
  • c.knob c.knob is a knob control that supports vertical or horizontal tracking.
  • c.matrix c.matrix creates a resizable matrix that can serve as a breakpoint function and stores values in cells addressed by column and row.
  • c.menu c.menu displays a list of items and provides selection, editing, and mouse interaction by click or hover.
  • c.meter~ c.meter~ is Cream’s counterpart to Pd’s vanilla vu, intended for displaying signal levels in dB.
  • c.number c.number is Cream’s counterpart to Pd’s vanilla nbx, providing a graphical number control with configurable minimum and maximum values.
  • c.number~ c.number~ is Cream’s counterpart to Pd’s vanilla nbx, intended to display or handle signal-rate numeric values.
  • c.pak c.pak combines several atoms into a single message and is the Cream counterpart of Pd’s vanilla pack.
  • c.patcherargs c.patcherargs retrieves a patcher's arguments and attributes, outputting the argument list and attribute list and signaling when both have been read.
  • c.patcherinfos c.patcherinfos retrieves information about its patcher, including its name and window and canvas sizes.
  • c.plane c.plane lets you move a point on a Cartesian plane and provides its x and y coordinates.
  • c.preset c.preset saves and recalls presets for compatible Cream external objects that share a preset name; current presets are saved with the patch.
  • c.radio c.radio is Cream’s counterpart to the vanilla hradio, providing a graphical control for making selections.
  • c.rslider c.rslider is Cream’s range-slider counterpart to a vanilla Pd object, providing both vertical and horizontal GUI forms for working with a two-value range.
  • c.scope~ c.scope~ is an oscilloscope that displays a signal’s waveform and can also display two signals in XY mode.
  • c.slider c.slider is Cream’s counterpart to Pd’s vanilla hslider and can be configured as either a horizontal or vertical slider.
  • c.tab c.tab displays a list of text buttons or text toggles, with horizontal or vertical orientation and bang or toggle modes.
  • c.toggle c.toggle is Cream's counterpart to Pd's vanilla toggle, providing a graphical toggle control.
