dnd-plugin

A Pure Data GUI plugin that adds file drag-and-drop support to Pd windows and canvases. Public Pd discussions identify megrimm/pd-dnd-plugin as the original project and distinguish it from a later fork.

Objects

  • dnd-openpanel dnd-openpanel is a deluxe file-opening object that accepts a dropped file or can be clicked to open a file-selection panel.
  • dnd-plugin dnd-plugin adds drag-and-drop support to Pd windows: dropping a .pd file on the console opens it, while dropping one on a window adds it there, and dropped text is also accepted.
  • dnd-target dnd-target is a drag-and-drop receiver that lets a Pd GUI object act as a drop target for files.
  • dnd_dropfile dnd_dropfile provides a GUI target onto which a file or folder can be dragged and dropped, making its full path available through the specified send/receive name.
  • dnd_parent dnd_parent detects a file or folder dropped onto its parent patcher window and outputs the full name and drop position.
