Objects

  • catch13~ The help patch provides no functional information about catch13~; it is only a placeholder requesting contributions.
  • cdplayer cdplayer controls ATAPI CD-ROM drives under Linux, supporting track playback, pause, resume, stop, and eject operations.
  • ext13 The patch does not document an ext13 object; it presents ext13 as a collection of externals written for the author’s own needs.
  • filesize The available help patch does not document the behavior, purpose, or usage of the filesize object.
  • ftos ftos converts a float to a symbol.
  • kalashnikov kalashnikov (also known as uzi) serializes bangs, providing bang and index outputs plus a completion indication.
  • mandelbrot The supplied help-patch evidence is insufficient to determine what mandelbrot does or its intended purpose.
  • mandelbrot~ The help patch places mandelbrot~ 500 in an audio-rate setup with monitoring objects such as env~ and snapshot~, and with dac~ present.
  • messages The help patch for messages is only a placeholder and provides no evidence about what the object does or its purpose.
  • openpatch openpatch opens a Pd patch, such as foo.pd in /tmp.
  • ossmixer ossmixer is a simple stereo mixer for OSS /dev/mixerX devices, providing access to mixer channel values and the recording source.
  • piperead~ piperead~ reads audio from an opened file and provides signals for playback through dac~.
  • pipewrite~ pipewrite~ is used with piperead~ to write audio through a pipe, as demonstrated with an opened WAV path.
  • promiscous~ promiscous~ converts all network traffic from a specified network interface into a signal, which can be sent to dac~.
  • receive13 The available help patch does not describe the behavior, purpose, or usage of receive13; it only states that the patch is a placeholder.
  • receive13~ The help patch for receive13~ is only a placeholder and provides no information about what the object does, its purpose, or how to use it.
  • scramble~ scramble~ processes incoming audio by rearranging it into grains, with controls for grain count, minimum grain length, pitch, threshold, and ring-buffer size.
  • send13 send13 sends messages to a correspondingly named receive13, as shown by the shared name foo.
  • send13~ The available help patch for send13~ is only a placeholder and provides no evidence about what the object does, its purpose, or how it is used.
  • sfwrite13~ The available help patch does not provide enough information to describe sfwrite13~.
  • streamin13~ streamin13~ receives multiple channels of audio over UDP, similar to streamin~ but designed for multiple channels and reduced UDP traffic.
  • streamout13~ streamout13~ sends multiple DSP signal channels over UDP with reduced traffic compared with ggee's streamout~; the example sends four channels to localhost on port 8008.
  • strippath strippath removes the directory portion from a path symbol, leaving the file name.
  • throw13~ The help patch does not provide enough information to describe throw13~.
  • wavinfo wavinfo reads a selected .wav file and outputs information about it.
