ggee

ggee is Guenter Geiger's Pure Data library organized into control, experimental, filter, GUI, and signal-processing sections. It includes objects ranging from filter-coefficient generators and GUI widgets to synths and signal streaming tools.

Objects

  • bandpass bandpass calculates band-pass filter coefficients for use with biquad~, controlled by frequency and bandwidth float inputs, and outputs them as a list.
  • constant constant outputs the value of the mathematical constant pi, 2pi, or e as a float when it receives a bang.
  • envgen envgen is a GUI envelope generator for creating and storing control-value envelopes, with a configurable duration in milliseconds.
  • equalizer equalizer calculates parametric equalizer coefficients for biquad~, outputting them as a list.
  • fofsynth~ fofsynth~ is an alias for fof~ that outputs a signal for formant-style synthesis, with controls for fundamental frequency, formant frequency, rise time, and fall time.
  • gcanvas gcanvas is a GUI rectangle that detects mouse position, outputting X and Y pixel values when you click and drag inside it, along with a click indication.
  • highpass highpass generates high-pass filter coefficients for biquad~, taking frequency and bandwidth control values and outputting a coefficient list.
  • highshelf highshelf calculates high-shelf filter coefficients for biquad~, outputting them as a list.
  • hlshelf hlshelf generates high-low shelf filter coefficients for use with biquad~.
  • image image displays an image in a Pd GUI and supports GIF, PPM, and PGM files.
  • lowpass lowpass calculates low-pass filter coefficients for biquad~, controlled by frequency and bandwidth.
  • lowshelf lowshelf calculates low-shelf filter coefficients for biquad~, with controls demonstrated for frequency, gain, and slope.
  • mixer~ mixer~ is the beginning of a dynamic mixer matrix object, combining multiple signal inlets into a signal outlet.
  • moog~ moog~ is a signal-controlled Moog-style resonant low-pass filter.
  • notch notch calculates notch-filter coefficients for biquad~, using frequency and bandwidth control values, and outputs them as a list.
  • pvocfreq The provided help patch does not contain sufficient information to describe pvocfreq; it only identifies shuffle~ and includes no explanation of its behavior or purpose..
  • qread The available help patch does not describe what qread does or its purpose.
  • rl rl receives messages locally within the current canvas and outputs them as anything messages.
  • rtout The available help patch identifies rtout as a control object but provides no description of its behavior, purpose, or usage.
  • serial_bird serial_bird interprets data from the Ascension Flock of Birds device and outputs it as a list.
  • serial_ms serial_ms decodes serial-mouse data from the first serial port for use as control input in Pd.
  • serial_mt The available help patch does not provide enough information to describe what serial_mt does or how it is used.
  • serialctl serialctl reads characters from a Unix serial device and can send data as symbols or ASCII character codes.
  • sfwrite~ sfwrite~ 2 is used to write a two-channel signal to a sound file, as illustrated by opening test.wav and supplying audio from adc~.
  • sl sl sends messages locally within the current canvas.
  • slider slider is a graphical control slider that accepts a float or bang and outputs a float.
  • sliderh sliderh is identified by the help patch as a control-rate GUI object, but the patch does not document its behavior or purpose further.
  • state The help patch identifies state as a control object related to state saving, with an inlet labeled save and one outlet.
  • stk stk provides access to Perry Cook’s instruments, with the instrument selected by an argument such as BeeThree, and outputs its audio as a signal.
  • streamin~ streamin~ receives a network signal by listening on the port number given as its argument, such as 3000.
  • streamout~ streamout~ transmits an incoming Pd signal over a network connection to a specified host and port, for use with a receiver such as streamin~.
  • stripdir stripdir removes all leading directories from a path, leaving its final component.
  • tabwrite4~ The help patch identifies tabwrite4~ only as a signal/array object, but provides no description of what it does or how to use it.
  • ticker ticker is an OS-native checkbox GUI object for control purposes that outputs a float and accepts bangs or floats.
  • toddle toddle is a graphical button that routes incoming messages unchanged to its outlet; it is not a bang converter.
  • unserialize unserialize turns a stream of floats into a list.
  • unwonk unwonk is an unpacking object that sends unused list elements to its last outlet instead of discarding them.
  • vbap vbap is a control-rate external for Vector Base Amplitude Panning.
