Objects

  • circle-gui circle-gui is a simple circular GUI slider implemented using pdlua’s graphics.
  • complex complex and pdluax complex attempt to load a Lua module named “complex”; if successful, they print a list of items in that module.
  • dispatchertest The help patch identifies dispatchertest as an example object from the pdlua library and presents numeric and mixed-list messages for testing it.
  • errors The help patch does not provide enough evidence to determine what the errors object does or its purpose.
  • ldelay ldelay is a Lua reimplementation of Pd’s delay object, intended to demonstrate that clocks work in pdlua.
  • ldelay2 The help patch presents ldelay2 as an object for testing multiple clocks within one object, alongside Pd’s delay.
  • ldemux ldemux routes incoming Pd messages to one of multiple outlets, serving as a message demultiplexer.
  • lexpr lexpr evaluates Lua-syntax expressions using named inlet variables, supporting numeric or symbol inputs and multiple outlets through comma-separated expressions.
  • lfloat2bytes lfloat2bytes outputs the characters of a float’s string representation as bytes.
  • list-pak list-pak works like pack but accepts elements of any type, providing a convenient way to assemble them into a list.
  • list-unpack list-unpack is like unpack for lists containing any kind of type, distributing their elements across a configurable number of outlets.
  • llist-drip llist-drip outputs any input as a sequence, interpreting multi-item messages and explicit lists as lists to be emitted item by item.
  • llist-rdrip llist-rdrip outputs any input list as a reversed sequence of its elements.
  • lpaths lpaths demonstrates the distinction between self._canvaspath, the directory of the canvas where the object was created, and self._loadpath, the directory from which its .pd_lua file was loaded.
  • lpipe lpipe appears to delay or schedule lists, serving as a list-oriented pipe before output is split by unpack.
  • lreceive lreceive receives messages sent to a numbered family of Pd destinations, here configured with the prefix lreceive-.
  • lsend lsend is a pdlua example object for testing named send support, shown with lsend-x as its creation argument and corresponding r receivers.
  • lsymbol-drip lsymbol-drip outputs the individual characters of an input symbol, making them available for processing one at a time, such as matching letters with sel.
  • lsymbol2bytes lsymbol2bytes outputs the characters of a symbol as a sequence of bytes, with Unicode handled correctly.
  • ltabdump ltabdump outputs the contents of a Pd table as a list, as demonstrated by sending its output to print.
  • ltabfill ltabfill is a clone of lexpr that writes the result of a function into a named table; the table name is supplied as its first argument and inlet, followed by the usual lexpr expression setup.
  • ltextfile-drip ltextfile-drip reads a text file and outputs its sentences sequentially in response to incoming bangs, signaling with a bang when no lines remain.
  • luametro luametro works like Pd’s metro but accepts multiple periods, selecting them sequentially from left to right by default.
  • lurn lurn is a unique random-number generator that outputs each value in its configured range without repetition, stopping and banging its right outlet once all values have been chosen.
  • mutator The help patch shows mutator used alongside mutatee, with a bang trigger and output sent to print checkpoint-charlie.
  • osci3d~ osci3d~ is a configurable three-dimensional oscilloscope for displaying three input signals, as demonstrated with three osc~ sources.
  • pdlua pdlua registers a loader that lets Pd load externals written in Lua from .pd_lua files.
  • pdluax pdluax loads a named .pd_luax source file at object creation and instantiates a Pd object whose behavior is defined by that Lua code.
  • peekbag peekbag maintains a collection of numbers from value–flag pairs: a nonzero flag adds a value, while zero removes it, and duplicate values are allowed.
  • requirer requirer attempts to find and load a named module, including built-in modules such as string and math.
  • revalue revalue provides an interface to Pd’s native value, behaving like value while allowing its name to be changed.
  • reverb-calculator reverb-calculator calculates delay times in milliseconds for a reverb setup from room dimensions in meters and a decay percentage.
  • shared shared appears to share messages among instances that use the same name, allowing values to be exchanged through a named channel.
  • simplecounter simplecounter is a counter object whose default starting count is 0.
  • swarm swarm implements a boids-style swarm in Pd using Lua.
