A Machine Listening System for Contemporary Music

These documents are currently under preparation and testing for the upcoming release.

OpenScofo is an open-source score-following system specifically designed for contemporary music. Its development builds upon the research conducted by Arshia Cont and the Antescofo team at IRCAM. Current efforts in the development of OpenScofo focus on extending its capabilities to accommodate extended instrumental techniques. It should be noted that the software remains in an alpha stage of development.

OpenScofo was initially developed as a highly minimal score-following system, designed to be fully compatible with the execution of Pure Data patches within web browsers via pd4web. Leveraging pd4web is expected to reduce the complexity of live-electronics setups, thereby enabling a broader range of performers to engage with, and gain experiential insight into, live-electronics compositions.
